REBECCA TOLLIDAY – Co-Owner
Having worked in the high-stress industries of advertising and visual effects, Rebecca Tolliday knows what pressure feels like and the toll it can take on our good health and happiness. After years of neglecting her wellness, it’s no surprise that a health crisis and burnout finally led to her finding a gentler way in the world.
Since qualifying as a Holistic Counsellor and further studies in Nutrition and Ayurveda, Rebecca’s followed her passion towards living a more authentic, truly fulfilled life. For her this has meant discovering the joy of simplifying whenever possible. However, never one to compromise on quality or lifestyle, Rebecca discovered the potency of using precious natural oils on her skin. Why use 10 products when you can use 3!
Making her own skincare products for several years, Rebecca wanted to share with others how effective these organic natural products could be when incorporated into your life. So joining with long-time friend Kim Williams, was the perfect collaboration – and Feather & Seed was launched.
The pursuit of a lighter way of living is a meaningful one – and it’s easier than you think. With this beautifully blended range, that smell as good as they make her customers feel, Rebecca hopes to offer everyone a simple step towards their own wellness and joy.
KIM WILLIAMS – Co-owner
That’s the essence of Kim Williams’ approach to business – and something she hopes her products help her customers experience too. Kim’s personal journey into Aromatherapy began in 2001, with a Diploma at Nature Care college.
Sometimes, things just fall into place. She was exploring ways to make her life more meaningful and her discovery of Buddhism and passion for the healing benefits of essential oils combined, as the driving force behind the launch of The Buddha Bar Healing Clinic in 2004.
The definition of success is such a personal thing. Kim’s business baby grew to a customer base of 15 thousand people, with a team of 20 therapists. The growth saw her role shift sideways into management and that evolution led to Kim’s longing to return to her original intention – to have a genuinely personal impact on the health and wellbeing of others.
Time allows space for new ideas and passions to bloom and Kim’s 6- month break was the breath she needed to collaborate with her long- time friend, Rebecca Tolliday – the birth of Feather & Seed. Words that represent lightness, potential and growth offer the perfect business name and with a vision to ‘create beautiful blends and body products that are exquisite in scent and auspicious to the mind & body, Kim knows she is on the right path.
